THe legacy project
Established in 2010 The Legacy Project, which is our registered charity 1139739, was created to support youth globally . Our primary purpose is to increase accessibility, unlock potential and empower young people all around the world to create and deliver planet conscious projects that benefit local or global communities that include our global goals of: Empowerment for All, Educational Innovation, Environmental Regeneration and Creative Rejuvenation.
We believe that collaboration is the key to change in the world and are always on the look out for partners to work with us to scale these projects globally.
The Legacy Project leverages our team of talented facilitators, creatives and Global Change Ambassadors from around the world who work collaboratively to imagine, design and deliver exciting solutions towards our Global Goals. We have chosen unique individuals who are passionate about their area of expertise and committed to making a difference in the world.
Our Global Goal Projects are solutions that use unique methodologies to encourage individuals, organisations and communities to go beyond what they think is possible and create real sustainable change. The cumulative affect of this approach promotes a fearless culture where effortless change will happen in communities and the wider world around us.
Everything we do is driven by a desire to create sustainable, inclusive change in the world.
Legacy YOUTH PROGRAMS
We are looking to change the narrative and go beyond the Sustainable Development Goals to build culturally sensitive action points that are adaptable to the unique requirements of each region and culture around the world. This means the initiatives that are created by the globally diverse youth leaders will be more relevant and inclusive to the local needs of the communities.
Our programs work directly with young people to raise awareness of local and global issues and create projects for change.
UNITING YOUTH GROUPS AND LOCAL COMMUNITIES
The Legacy Program
Our aim is to inspire youth to make change happen in the world. This is done by uniting already existing networks and communities from schools and youth organisations, and going beyond what is considered possible.
Phase 1 - Empower for Employability two day program working on skills for life and changing perception to become more confident, accountable and action oriented.
Phase 2 - Finding passion and purpose - individual coaching and mentorship allowing each participant to focus on what is important to them.
Phase 3 - Creating a Legacy and turning words into action.
Phase 4 - Bi-weekly coaching and mentoring to help project groups move forward and to identify opportunities to strengthen approach and expand on delivery.
Phase 5 - Dragons Den style workshop bringing in local employers and business leaders so that the young people can showcase the projects and demonstrate their passion, enthusiasm, skillset and commitment to change.
Successful projects can then be nominated for our Global Youth Awards under the Legacy category.
