How to get the most out of your Shine Journey

Shine…the journey has only just begun!.

Thank you for shining! After an incredible week of sharing, opening, listening and reflecting it can feel like we have come to the end, but with an eight week journey ahead of us this week has really only been the beginning. We are really looking forward to the rest of the journey with you where we will be helping you continue to shine the light within so that you can shine out and reach your full potential. Below are some tips on how to maximise the journey.

Top Tips.

Group Coaching Sessions

Dates will be given for these at the end of the first week so please check you are available. When work is so busy it can feel indulgent to take an hour out to join the group coaching sessions, even when we have accepted them to the calendar. Please try, where possible, to attend as many as these sessions as you are able to. Just checking in together alone can change the energy and pace of your day but the real value in these sessions is listening to each other and hearing what is different as we go through the shine journey. It is an hour to reconnect, reflect, share and breathe…every participant that has chosen to attend when they really felt they couldn’t has remarked on how much they valued prioritising the time for them. This is part of the course you are completing and a vital component for you to gift to yourself.

1:1 Coaching Sessions

These sessions are an opportunity for you to be really honest. The sessions are 30 minutes long with one of our facilitators but the frequency and timings are led by you. We deliberately choose 30 minutes for the sessions so that they can be hyper-focused and allow you to implement the tools provided before a new topic arises. Some people choose to have one per week whilst others go for an on demand approach as and when they feel they need one. You can book these in via a direct WhatsApp to your facilitator or request via email but the requests must come from you. During these sessions you may choose to focus on one particular topic or have a more general approach to how you are feeling. Either way the sessions really do give you support for any area, private or professional, that you feel you need help with.

Tools for Success

In order to get the most out of the next few weeks we suggest a few things:

  • Keep a ‘difference diary’ - this will allow you to monitor the changes that you are experiencing that feel impactful. Remember at even the most subtle differences can have a huge impact. A ship only needs to change trajectory by a small fraction for the destination to be completely different. It is also a wonderful thing to revisit later down the line to see how much you have changed.

  • Make an appointment with yourself - it’s so important to take time for rest and reflection. The Shine journey is helping you to remember how to listen to yourself, to your environment and to your ecosystem. Booking a meeting in your diary with yourself may sound strange but is fast become a post Shine habit with many of our alumni.

  • Keep a note of triggers - jot down when you are feeling triggered so you can reflect and use as a basis for your coaching sessions

  • Mirror project - for those that found this hard for the homework it is a recommendation is to revisit throughout the journey and notice if it feels different as you go through the next steps.

  • Imagination - there are several imagination journeys available to you on your community page which can really help with the triggers above or even before you sleep

You also now have access to the Shine Online Masterclasses where you will find materials, resources and even more new learning. Enjoy!
